This past month, Anabel’s Grocery and Dilmun Hill Farm hosted the annual Dilmun Hill Fall Festival Dinner on Saturday October 5th from 2:00pm to 7:00pm!
At the event we had farm harvesting and pumpkin picking–where you also got to paint the pumpkins–as well as flower pressing, garland and perfume making, and of course, our Anabel's dinner!
With a group of dedicated volunteers, Anabel’s brought seven dishes, snacks, and dessert to the dinner. We had dishes such as Pesto Pasta (with vegan and gluten-free options), veggie pasta, an everything salad, mashed sweet potatoes, two apple pies, and a home-made cake! In addition, we welcomed guests to bring their own dishes as well, potluck style, where we had a lot of extra desserts, and cookies brought to the table! With simple-to-follow recipes, anyone can drop by Anabel’s, pick up the ingredients, and cook along and make the dishes we served!
All the food we prepared were made using fresh produce from Anabel’s Grocery, such as basil, spinach, garlic and olive oil for the pesto pasta or apples, cinnamon, and oats for the apple pie.
Thanks to everyone who came for such a successful dinner with lots of fun activities, live music, and memories! We are already looking forward to the next one.
